We’re happy with the plugin, using it to list events on our site sorted according to our needs.

I’m not quite sure what those other reviews complain about? We’re using that software for free since we don’t need the extra addons that are offered with the paid version. If we later want to add more functionality to implement booking or sales via the website we would probably have to chose a different solution since we know we have extra special requests that simply aren’t covered in standardized software. WP event manager does what it says it does – no more and no less! Check ahead if the functions you need are included or not. In a perfect world we’d get to use software specifically designed for our needs. Here in reality we’re happy to use WP event manager for one thing – which it does well – and find a suitable workaround for our own other wishes.

We did recently run into some issues with the sorting of event lists and seeing that it’s free I half expected the support team to tell me to just live with it or ignore my request. Instead they patiently helped me to solve the issue. It did take a while since they’re on a different time zone than me, and I didn’t always respond instantly either. I do think that each of their responses came within less than 24 hours. It’s a rare sight that customer service keeps on track and sticks with it until a good solution is found. Even more so since we don’t pay them at all! I’m honestly impressed!
