Error: Change Login URL | WordPress.org

Hi, when setting the Change Login URL option and saving it works just fine. However, when disabling it and trying to login using wp-admin there is an issue.

The login screen shows just fine but when submitting it then tries to open the previously defined location giving me a 404.

If i then manually change the URL in the address bar of my browser to wp-admin it shows the WordPress admin just fine with me logged in.

Could you please advise how to fix/provide an update to correct this issue?
