Child Site but Thumbnails/Images on Social Media Links coming from Parent

Dear all,

I am not very experienced, so I build my first website using the Theme YITH Wonder.

After it was ready ( days of work for a newbie) I just realized I created a Child instead of customizing the Parent.

So now on my WP Dashaboard I have the Yith Wonder Parent ( I did not change it) and the Child Yith Wonder ( the way I build).

Currently I am facing two issues :

1. If I forward the Link of the website to anyone on whatsapp or facebook , it shows the (thumbnail) picture and the text of the Parent Theme, what I obviously do not want , as it has nothing to do with my business.
2. I am also concerned this could have a bad influence on the whole SEO setup , as the site is using images and texts from the Parent.
3. On the Bluehost WP Admin Dashboard it is a little bit confusing. If I go under Pages and click to edit the main Page it foward me to the Parent SIte ( which I do not touch , fearing it could overwrite all my work on the parent). That means , when I need to edit the SIte I must go under Vistit Site ( logged in as Admin) and then click to edit the Site

Not sure how to proceed , beginning all work again from start and customizing the Parent ( without the Child) – I really do not need ( Child/ Parent) . But if there is a simple way to descope all images , texts fon the child coming from the parent I would also follow this way.

I am not experienced, so I am not keen to start changing HTML codes on my own, at least not at this step.
