Modifying Partial Shipment for an Order with Processing Status

I am trying to partially mark some items as shipped in an order that has been paid and currently with a processing status. It usually allow us to do this with no issues, we have done it before. Once me complete changes, the shipment column will show selected items in green.

The problem is that now, once I have bulk marked items as shipped changes are not reflected. Shipment column keeps showing all items in red and as not shipped. I have tried to change the order status to “On Hold” to try and make changes and then Back to “Processing” but it is not working and I am not sure how good idea is to do this. Any help to get around this would be appreciated.
