Siebar showing twice | WordPress.org

Hi,

The sidebar menu is showing up twice on the dashboard page (when calling /wp-admin/index.php). The second one disappears when I clck on dashboard>home.

Besides, I don’t really undertsand the difference between admin page and user interface. The docs are not menttionning anything about it. It is not clear where the template are going to apply…

How can I customize the dashboard home page (where “texte” is displayed on the image)? When creating a template it adds a menu in the sidebar above “dashboard”. It doesn’t make sense to have 2 dashboard page, right?

Am i Missing something ?
