Authorized Paypal Business User Connection

Hi,

I’m an authorized user on a PayPal business account, trying to link the account to GiveWP. The initial window that pops-up won’t accept my username (not email) that I use to login to the user account, since it’s not an email address “Your email address isn’t formatted properly”.

I’ve also tried logging into PayPal in a separate browser window and then tried to connect the account. The PayPal account’s default email (for which I don’t have a password) auto-fills the first email field. When I proceed with that and arrive at the second page asking for the password, I enter my own username (not email) and password, which it seems to accept. I then see “Please wait while we perform security check”.

At that point, a page loads instructing me to sign up for a business account “Sign up for a Business account Enter the email address you’ll use to sign up or log in”.

I stop at that point.

Is there a way to authorize the connection to GiveWP with a PayPal username (authorized user) that’s not a email address? I have administrator privileges, just not the account owner password. I can also create PayPal donate buttons in PayPal. ?
