Wocommerce duplicated content for nested categories

Hi there,

I recently discovered an issue where woocommerce is creating duplicated content for nested category pages.

Here is an example:

http://www.example-website.com/category/subcategory is the same as http://www.example-website.com/subcategory

Any ideas why this is happening or what can I do resolve this? From a SEO standpoint this is a nightmare, and on a large website such as the one I manage, it’s hard to manually set canonicals or redirects for each URL affected by this.
