Logo between menu items | WordPress.org

I would like to have my logo inbetween menu items, so two menu items left, then the centered logo, the two other menu items to the right. I followed this article, but the menu items are pushed to the vera far left and rigt side(edeg of the content container), and I want them close to the logo. How can I achieve this?
