Duplicate Orders Created – One Payment

I am using woopayments on my website with WCFM.

In doing payment testing I noticed that anytime an order is placed, there are two orders created in WooCommerce – this shows on the admin side as well as the vendor side. This was occurring in test / sandbox mode so I wanted to see if it was related to that and changed to live environment. In the live environment the duplications continue but the credit card is only charged one time.

The orders are placed at the exact same time on the details but they have sequential order ID numbers (ie 3314 and 3315). Other than the order number, the initial order number has the payment method used, the later order just says gross pay.

Order 3314 has the payment method included and is the real order – order 3115 has no payment information but still allows for a second shipping label to be created.

The only thing I can tell is in admin panel the order 3114 has all the updates present. Order 3115 has only order changed from pending to processing. This change in status seems to be creating a duplicate order. See images below:
