WordPress Developer for SportsClub Sites


We have a four month (at least) backlog of work constructing sites for our sporting club customers. You would be working as part of a medium sized (6 person) expert team, either leading or assisting the creation of sites, or resolving development issues or upgrades of existing sites. This role is remote only (location unimportant) and best suit someone able to work during Melbourne Australia business hours (GMT +11).

Full or part time is available. The person must have good written and spoken english language skills. We require an immediate start.

We are seeking the following skills, which must be demonstrated by at least two years full time experience, or equivalent. Please DO NOT apply if you cannot closely match our experience and skill set needs. You must have deep WordPress skills. Contact only via this site.

Required skills (at least two years experience in):
– Responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.
– Programming skills PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
– Strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems.
– Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
– Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
– Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
– Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
– Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
– Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
– Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
– Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial
– Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
